My name is Hana Wube, I am 25 years old and was born in Yifat Shewarobit. Since my childhood, I have always dreamed of becoming a famous fashion designer.
In 2024, I had the opportunity to receive garment-making training from Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). With a small loan from my family and ESD’s startup support, I opened my own sewing shop.
I save around 200 birr per day and pay 3,000 birr for my shop rent. I sew chiffon garments and different types of pajamas. Additionally, I pay 2,500 birr for my house where I live. I am planning to expand my business by buying additional machines and hiring more workers to grow my enterprise.
I am very grateful to ESD for providing the training and support that allowed me to take the first steps toward achieving my dream and building a sustainable business.
